Blizzard Bag 1, 2, 3
Please choose one of the following activities from any category (Knowledge,
Performance, or Spectator). When done, complete a 1-paragraph analysis
(directions are on page two of the document). Your Blizzard Bag activity and
analysis must be completed within two-weeks of each calamity day.
Knowledge Activities
1. Read an article in the sports section of the newspaper; write a 1- paragraph analysis.
2. Read an article in a sports magazine; write a 1- paragraph analysis.
3. Read an article from a reputable sports website; write a 1 paragraph analysis.
Performance Activities (please remember that you must actively participate in the
activity for at least 20 - 30 minutes)
1. Run or jog; write a 1- paragraph analysis
2. Ride a bike; write a 1-paragraph analysis
3. Attend an aerobics class or watch and participate with an exercise DVD; write a 1-
paragraph analysis
4. Lift weights; write a 1-paragrph analysis
5. Snowshoeing/snowboarding/sledding/build a snowman or fort; write a 1-paragraph
analysis
6. Wii Fit (active games) or Xbox Kinect; write a 1-paragraph analysis
7. Shoveling driveway(s); write a 1-page analysis
8. Student choice of activity that engages your heart rate; write a 1- paragraph analysis
Spectator Activities
Option 1: Spectator Activity
You will observe (can watch on TV) one type of sporting event and write a one-page
analysis. Event can be professional, middle school, high school, college, or recreational
level. The Olympics (if still available) would be great! Write a one- paragraph
analysis.
Option 2: Sports movie
Watch a sports movie and write a one-paragraph analysis.
What should I include in my report? If you cannot type your analysis, please make
certain that it is legible. Your paragraphs must have at least five full sentences and
proper grammar.
